A Suitable Book

I am a proud member of the coolest bookclub ever. It even has a name, 'A Suitable Book'. There are a dozen or so members. Some of us are incredibly intellectual and some of us are incredibly opinionated and some of us are both. We do discuss the books amongst other things. The club is managed by our benevolent dictator Miss R who whips us into shape with her to-do lists. We all love our leader as good comrades will.

The books we have read so far include:

'A Room of One's Own' Virginia Woolf

'Stasiland' Anna Funder

'Fiesta: The Sun Also Rises' Ernest Hemingway

'Into the Wild' Jon Krakaeur

'Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close' Jonathan Saffran-Foer

'I, Robot' Isaac Asimov

'Emergency Sex and Other Desperate Measures' by Kenneth Cain, Heidi Postlewait & Andrew Thomson

'Suite Francaise' by Irène Némirovsky

'Homage to Catalonia' by George Orwell

'An Imaginary Life' by David Malouf
